Dealerships

Send sales, service, and parts to the desk that owns them.

A caller should not have to guess which department is open.

What gets in the way

  • The main number rings while sales, service, and parts are three different rooms.
  • A Saturday parts question hits a closed switchboard.
  • Shoppers hang up when nobody answers the first call.

How a call can go

The agent asks which department they need, answers the hours and directions you saved, and transfers only to a number you listed. If that desk is closed, it takes the name, number, and what they need. It does not describe a vehicle that is not in your notes or promise a loan rate.

Questions worth asking first

Does it connect to our dealer system?

Not as a default. It works from the facts and phone numbers you enter. An inventory or scheduling connection is a separate setup, not something this page claims.

Can service and sales have different rules?

Yes. Open hours, transfer numbers, and what to say can differ by department as long as those rules are written for that desk.

What about body shops and independent service?

The same pattern applies: greet, answer the approved facts, transfer or take the message.
